Guest Speaker – “DUNCAN’S PRICE FAMILY: SOFT DRINKS, HOTELS AND REAL ESTATE”

Mr. Bill Wilson, recipient of the “Certificate of Merit” in 2022 from the BC Historical Federation, will be the guest speaker in April for the Cowichan Valley Historical Society. Bill has written 5 books on the history of soft drinks and breweries in British Columbia. He has collected artifacts and stories for over 50 years regarding the local area pioneers. He will share the details about how Thorpe and Company outperformed their competitors for 1889 to 1925. Mr. Wilson was also featured on Global TV’s “THIS IS BC” in 2024, talking about antique bottles from our province.
